Two Inscrutable Things

I’d like to share two puzzling things that I found today. One is a political cartoon from Britain. The other is a video-game strategy diagram from Japan.

    That one diagram looks like it’s from Dark Cloud 2 — if I remember right. Something’s slightly off from what I remember, I think it’s supposed to have more paths. Maybe it’s from a different game, with a very similar weapon upgrading scheme?
