State of the Union

Here’s a pointed dissection of the war-oriented part of the recent state of the union address. Good points, though I wish that the author provided sources for the facts that he used.

    I will be interested to see what Colin Powell has to say this week. Speculation is that a smoking gun will be presented.

    The real question then is what qualifies as a smoking gun to justify invasion.

    Blix himself has mentioned that there is far too much territory and that Iraq has not nearly cooperated enough to allow this investigation to be complete.

    Also, the UN security council has agreed that Iraq has not sufficiently explained where its old weapons are, as well as showing what their programs current status is.

    I would be watching with baited breath.
